⚫️ The art collections behind Async Blueprints
Async Art is the NFT ecosystem’s leading programmable art platform. Through its Async Canvas creator portal, the project offers artists a streamlined suite of tools and templates for creating dynamic artworks via layer tokens.
The team that’s brought us Async Art and Async Music just unveiled a powerful new tool for Web3 creators. That tool is Async Blueprints.
Async Blueprints are collections generated from a single source that allows Async creators to develop generative art projects like CryptoPunks or Bored Apes. Only a limited number of Editions - each of them unique.
The first collections
For the launch of Blueprints, Async Art partnered with three acclaimed cryptoartists. The artists and collections are as follows:
Grifters by XCOPY
(666 editions, 0.25 ETH minting price)
Grifters is a collection of 666 NFTs by the famed artist XCOPY. The artist has been actively creating art and NFTs in this space for several years, and Grifters is his final project of 2021. Similar to XCOPY's other work, the Grifters NFT collection features a black background, humanoid faces in dark yellow, blue, or green, and overall dark imagery. However, unlike much of the artist's other work, the artwork's images are static. XCOPY's art is not known to have any utility outside of aesthetic enjoyment. The tagline for the collection, as written by XCOPY, is "grifters gonna grift!"
DecentralEyesMashup by Coldie
(623 editions, 0.25 ETH minting price)
Generative edition celebrating the Decentral Eyes OG portrait series. This edition uses 12 layers to create 623 unique 1/1 portrait artworks featuring 9 faces who have shaped the early days of the decentralized blockchain revolution.
Vitalik Buterin Andreas Antonopoulos John McAfee Edward Snowden Julian Assange Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss Dalai Lama Warren Buffett Alan Turing
9 is the number of completion. It represents the end of this cycle and the beginning of the next cycle.
The edition number of 623 is a symbolic number that represents the first time the artist publically displayed any version of the Decentral Eyes series. A physical print version of the Vitalik Buterin portrait at the NAC crypto conference in San Francisco on 6/23/18 was the genesis release date by Coldie.
Thousand Headers Coterie by Alotta Money
(1000 editions, 0.2 ETH minting price)
“Thousand Headers Coterie” is Alotta Money's latest generative series made on the Async platform and one of the last projects he worked on before passed away March 3, 2022.
Utilising the platform's Async Blueprint tool, “Thousand Headers Coterie” comprises of 1000 generative Headers' which are designed to sit comfortably within people's 1500x500 pixel Twitter profiles.
By manipulating portraits of figures such as Napoleon, Adam and the Girl with a Pearl Earring by artists such as Michelangelo, Vermeer and David, “Thousand Headers Coterie” sees Alotta Money's classical cohort warped into panoramic dream lands, abundant in memes and surrealism. As with most generative series, “Thousand Headers Coterie” is constructed from numerous diverse properties such as unique landscapes, characters, items and overlays.
Other collections
In the top 4 in sales, in addition to the editions of XCOPY, Coldie and Alotta Money, it is also in the ranking in second place, the collection of “Tokyo Punks” by SABET.
Top Blueprints
#1 - Grifters by XCOPY - 3180 ETH
#2 - Tokyo Punks by SABET - 533 ETH
#3 - DecentralEyesMashup by Coldie - 421 ETH
#4 - Thousand Headers Coterie by Alotta Money - 383 ETH
Tokyo Punks by SABET
(4850 editions, 0.1 ETH minting price)
Inspired by Ali Sabet’s first trip with his family to Tokyo at a very young age in the 1980’s during the street punk movement. Seeing real Punks on the streets of Tokyo fundamentally changed the way the artist saw color, shape and forms. The wild mohawk wearing punks were something out of this world. The clothing, the vibrant colors, leather and spikes.
Upcoming Blueprints
Think of Blueprints as a standard layered Async artwork, allowing you to mint your own 1/1 combination from the artist’s Blueprints collection.
In the near future there are planned editions of several artists, already scheduled or/and to be finished. For example, we have been informed, from reliable sources, that editions of artists like Angie Taylor or Osinachi are being prepared.
For now, the following projects are available on the Async page. We highlight one of the next collections “WHAtaverse poetry” that will be available for pre-sale tomorrow April 26th, which was inspired by the following question “What’s the meaning of life”, from the artist WHA.
WHAtaverse poetry by WHA
(159 editions, 0.09 ETH minting price)
After artist' son asked him the question: "What's the meaninh of life? (using his own words...), the author started to get hands on with and he actually think he had material for a blueprint at Async.
It’s one of humanity’s biggest questions, and there’s no simple answer…
WHA's created a "visual poetry machine" with 3 different series and several layers to be discovered.
A limited edition of 159 unique poems (158 visual and colourful poems + 1 legendary edition) as possible answers to that question that torments so much humanity.
Pre-sale available April 26th (12am) for 48 hours.
